EARTH HOUR

For the past two years the RDCK has participated in an inspirational climate action event—Earth Hour, sponsored by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). Earth Hour demonstrated to us that by working together, we all have a role to play in solving one of the most critical issues of our times.

Residents throughout the RDCK VOTED EARTH by swithching off their lights and non-essential electrical appliances for one hour. With almost a billion people mobilized, Earth Hour 2010 was the biggest environmental demonstration in history!

Thank you to everyone who helped bring attention to energy conservation by participating in this event!
