The RDCK Transit Service

The RDCK, in partnership with BC Transit, has contracted with various agencies within the region to operate convenient, cost-effective transportation services. Two types of service are provided:

• Conventional Transit - buses operate on ‘fixed routes’ and fixed schedules.
• Custom Transit or “handyDART” - door-to-door, demand-responsive services carry persons who are unable to access the conventional transit system or who have a disability.

BC Bus Pass Program - For senior citizens and residents with disabilities on restricted incomes the Ministery of Housing and Social Development offers an annual bus pass which allows unlimited travel on the conventional transit systems.
