CRESTON & DISTRICT COMMUNITY COMPLEX FACILITY ENHANCEMENT PROJECT

WHAT'S HAPPENING RIGHT NOW!

Compact, Pour, & Dig!!!

  • Curling Rink floor

Ridged foam insulation has been installed on side walls and structural fill has been added and compacted to the curling rink floor in preparations for heating lines to be laid down.

  • The Arena changerooms

All exterior walls are now complete in the arena changerooms. Underslab plumbing is complete and the floor has been poured. Support scaffolding arrived in preparations for the roof forming to take place.

  • Further Excavation

A trench is currently being excavated to allow for proper drainage of the western slope of the facility leading down to the soccer field. Drain pipe will be tied into the current drainage line so that excess water is rerouted.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO SEE HAPPEN WITHIN THE NEXT TWO WEEKS:

* Support scaffolding will be set up and preparations will be made to pour the roof over the arena changerooms

* Forming will be done for the header trench and sleeves installed to accommodate heating lines that will be laid down on the curling rink floor.

This project is funded by The Canada-British Columbia Municipal Rural Infrastructure Fund, the residents of the Creston Valley, and donations.
