CRESTON & DISTRICT COMMUNITY COMPLEX FACILITY ENHANCEMENT PROJECT

WHAT'S HAPPENING RIGHT NOW:

 Recycle, Recycle, Recycle!

  • Curling Rink floor

Recycling asphalt, concrete, and fill is high on Hedlund’s priority list as they excavate layers of material in preparation for the new curling slab.

  • The Arena changerooms

95 % of the standing walls have been completed by NW Construction (out of Kelowna). The finishing touches for the underslab plumbing is currently underway by Figs Plumbing (Creston), and preparation is being done to pour the floor.

  • Aquatic Centre

In this picture you can see the previous layer of asphalt previous to the addition being added in the late 80’s. We are currently assessing footing depth location to further proceed with excavation.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO SEE HAPPEN WITHIN THE NEXT TWO WEEKS:

*   Floor will be poured and interior walls started on the arena changerooms

*   Excavation will continue on curling floor, structural fill will be added to the floor and refrigeration lines will be laid down.

*  Excavation will continue for the new Aquatic facility site
