Meeting Facilities

The Castlegar & District Community Center offers a wide range of rental opportunities for meetings, banquets, conventions, workshops, weddings, receptions, reunions and other social gatherings. Our professional and experienced staff are happy to assist you in planning a most satisfying and memorable experience.

The Community Center is a 20,000 square foot multi purpose recreational facility offering guests a variety of meeting room space. Special features include:

• Full catering facilities.
• Audio visual equipment.
• Easels, white boards and flip charts
• Round and rectangular tables
• Chairs to seat 500
• Rooms with removable walls to meet a variety of user needs

Aquatic Facilities

The Castlegar & District Aquatic Center consists of a 25 meter 6 lane pool, zero depth tots spray pool, steam room, whirlpool, dance studio weight room and outdoor patio. Special features include:

• Wheelchair accessible to main pool, spray pool and whirlpool
• Swing rope in main pool
• Slide in main pool
• Outdoor patio available for private bookings
• Steam Room

Arena Facilities

Complex Arena

The Castlegar & District Community Complex is a 1050 seat ice arena that includes a regulation ice surface, 5 dressing rooms, referees room and concession. The Complex is home to the KIJHL Junior B Castlegar Rebels.

• Ice season is from August - March 
• Arena dry floor available for conventions, circuses, exhibitions and trade shows from April – July.

Pioneer Arena

The Pioneer Arena located at 925 Columbia Avenue is a 180 x 80 ice surface that operates from the middle of October to the middle of March.

Parks Facilities

Pass Creek Regional Park is 84 acre park consisting of a swimming pond, beach, picnic areas, 30 camping sites, children’s playground, ball field, soccer/field hockey field, nature trails, riding ring and equestrian facilities.

• Day use area can be booked for weddings, picnics and other family events
• Free hot showers available for campers
• Each campsite has fire pit and free firewood
• Pets allowed on leashes

Senior Center

The Community Complex is home the Castlegar & District Seniors Association. The Senior Center is open Monday to Friday 9 am – 4 pm as a drop in center. Activities include floor curling, carpet bowling, bridge, bingo, darts and crib.
