Notices

Please be aware that wildlife sightings are common along Nelson Salmo Great Northern Trail.

At this time there are no closures due to wildlife, but, the Apex area is experiencing black bear and grizzly bear activity, which is common in the Spring and early Summer.

Always use caution when travelling on the trail system. Travel in groups when possible. Respect all closures. To reduce risk of a bear encounter, make lots of noise and pay attention to your surroundings, especially close to berry patches.
